Lethal Lesbian is an entirely local Israeli festival, that aims at bringing lesbian cinema closer to its audience. It’s full of awesome films and truly inspiring work!

The festival is held every year since 2008, the latest one took place last October, and showed more than twenty films. The goal is to promote lesbian filmmakers, may they use comedy, drama or any other genre, to express their views and talent. The films in the program are of different lengths and deal with different issues including: self-identity, love, politics, gender, relationships and culture.
So, it’s not only erotic, it’s about all the faces of gay life. However, their promo videos are really hot, funny, and go against all the clichés that we might have on lesbians.

The Grey Zone Teaser
This is the typical scene we’ve seen before: a 1920’s-inspired set, an elegant, sensual woman, and a seductive man. We automatically think that he’s going to fall madly in love with her, we imagine that she makes men go crazy over her, and that she has passionate adventures with them. It doesn’t really cross our minds that she might enjoy another delicatessen…

This promo video for the festival is truly awesome. We hear many clichés coming out in cheesy jokes, sexist comments that are supposed to be funny, but that are really outdated and ignorant.
