The Warwick Rowers strip naked for a good cause

The trend started years ago. My first “naked” calendar featured the French rugby players. Our hot neighbor gave it to my flatmate and I for Christmas. Best. Present. Ever (note to myself for Xmas 2013). This year, the Warwick Rowers have decided to strip down and make a very… “stimulating” calendar in order to fight against homophobia.

Don’t blame me for the fake rowing song, I’m not much into sports. Anyways, these hot young guys are university athletes who got naked to brighten every day of upcoming 2014. As they say on the info page, if this calendar doesn’t get you going, nothing will!

The goal is to raise funds and awareness to support Sport Allies, a program the rowers have developed in partnership with the Educational Action Challenging Homophobia charity. Even if we are slowly making progress, homophobia is still everywhere, even in universities, where some young people still have trouble accepting the fact that it’s 2013… The Warwick Rowers are almost all straight men and I think it’s really great that they felt generous and confident enough to get naked and share their goodness with the world. Indeed, there can still be homophobia, especially in what are supposed to be “guy sports”.
