Have you noticed how things come in series? This week, we’ve already had the pleasure of listening and watching the new video for Movement’s beautiful ‘Ivory’ song, and today it’s all about Rhye’s new video for their song ‘Open’.
‘Open’ by Rhye
Rhye is a hip hop band based in Los Angeles, even though the duo is from Denmark and Canada. The EP came out in 2012 but their debut album “Woman”, was released in 2013. This is the second version of the ‘Open’ video clip. The first one was already very pretty and sweet, but not as sexual as this new one, in which you can watch couples having sex.
I like that with each couple, the sex has a different vibe. Sometimes it’s colder, sometimes more passionate. It may be just sex or love making, the atmosphere is different according to who is paired up with who. The camera focuses on the details, which makes it really hot.
I feel the perspective of the film is mostly feminine, meaning that it focuses more on the women’s experiences, showing their eyes and face more often.
I wish it could have been a little bit more explicit but overall it’s a pretty hot video and the music makes it even sexier!
